Training is a valuable tool to maintain or improve a Foster Parent(s)’s skills, knowledge and ability to better respond to a child/ youth’s needs. As outlined by Children Services, once the Core Training modules have been completed, all Foster Parents are required to attend a minimum amount of supplementary training, either 9 or 12 hours annually, dependent on the classification of the Foster Parents.
