Foster Parents Forms
Documenting and reporting are sometimes the hardest part of our job but they are also the most important in terms of maintaining the lines of communication, chronicling the children’s lives and preventing allegation. It is also the part of our job that often gets ignored but ends up being invaluable when we need it.

As per Pathways policy and practice, any confidential information sent via e-mail should not be sent in the e-mail body. Attach confidential information to the e-mail in a document format which is password protected. Lastly, any confidential information stored electronically (i.e monthend reports on your personal computer), must be protected from unauthorized access (e.g. security codes, firewall).
To password protect a MS-WORD document is quite easy. With the document open, click on 'save as' and then 'tools'. In the drop down box click 'save options' or maybe 'security options' (depending on which version you own). In that box there will be a place to enter a 'password to open' and a 'password to edit'. Please contact your support worker for the password that both of you can share.
Please note, if you are using WORDPAD or MS WORKS, you will not be able to password protect your e-mails. Please contact your support worker for other options.
